American Corners

We’d love to remind our friends in Gdansk about our newly reopened American Corner, a resource center for American books, movies, and reference materials; resources for teaching English to elementary students; and events affiliate with the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw.  More photos from Michael Dobbs’ recent visit can be found here, courtesy of our American Corner staff Ania and Marta.

Those of you living in/near GDANSK, LODZ, or WROCLAW — do you know about our American Corners?  These spaces feature libraries of materials dedicated to America and are staffed by people who can help you find information you’re looking for about the United States.  But they also feature events — ranging from the latest Poland tour of our English Language Fellow Margaret Cholodecki, who is helping teachers learn how to teach English to young learners, to U.S. trivia nights (the latest event from Wroclaw), to events with visiting “American Experts in Poland.”  Check them out at American Corner Gdansk (photo gallery here), American Corner Lodz, and American Corner Wroclaw.
